The Leitrim Sports Partnership has announced €30,000 in funding for Volunteer Supports programme and the Sports Club Development grants for 2024 with applications being sought from the sporting clubs of Leitrim.
Volunteer Supports Programme
The Volunteer Supports project enriches club and community development programmes in disadvantaged communities and with disability groups. The Volunteer Supports initiative aims to successfully identify and assist targeted individuals who are volunteering in sports clubs, and community groups.
This fund enables coaches, leaders, referees, committee members to expend their physical activity leadership skills and knowledge. The total budget available for Volunteer Support Grants across all sports and recreation organisations is €20,000 (maximum €800 per club) so allocations will be made based on the quality of submissions received.
Club Development Grants
One of the aims of Leitrim Sports Partnership is to increase participation in sport and physical activity among all persons in County Leitrim. Leitrim Sports Partnership is looking to support initiatives by sports and recreation organisations for participation initiatives. The total budget available for Club Development Grants across all sports and recreation organisations is €10,000 so allocations will be made based on the quality of submissions received (Grants vary from €300-€500 maximum per club.
We encourage all clubs to take a proactive approach to increasing participation levels and maximising their full potential.
Leitrim sports clubs are advised to contact Leitrim Sports Partnership at lspgrantfunding@leitrimcoco.ie for further information on any of the three grant funding schemes or application forms can be downloaded from www.leitrimsports.ie or 071 9650498.
Deadlines for submission for the completed application forms is Tuesday June 4, 2024 at 4pm for the Volunteer Supports Programme & Club Development Grants 2024.
