It's that time of year when we all look back on the past 12 months and we're now different in the sporting world as nominations are now being sought for the Leitrim Observer Mens and Ladies Club Teams of the Year and the Leitrim Sports Partnership Leitrim Sports Star Awards.
The process of sorting out nominations for both the Club Teams of the Year and the Leitrim Sports Star Awards starts now with 5 pm on Friday December 16, the closing date for the Leitrim Observer Club Teams of the Year.
From those initial nominations, the top three names in each position will be sent forward to a public online vote with the final selections unveiled in the Observer on Wednesday, January 11.
The prestigious Leitrim Sports Star Awards, organised by the Leitrim Sports Partnership, aim to reward and recognise the outstanding achievements and contributions that people have made to sport and recreation in Leitrim over the past 12 months.
Organisers are also seeking nominations for the prestigious Hall of Fame award.
The nomination form is printed below and is also available at www.leitrimsports.ie. To nominate a person for an award please complete this form and send it to: Leitrim Sports Partnership, Áras an Chontae, Carrick on Shannon, Co. Leitrim. Closing Date is Friday December 23.
