Lough Key Triathlon Club

Saturday Cycle: This Saturday we will be leaving Esquires at 07.30. Route 1 approx 45km, route 2 approx 90km. Some members are running afterwards if you want to bring your runners

Saturday Cycle: This Saturday we will be leaving Esquires at 07.30. Route 1 approx 45km, route 2 approx 90km. Some members are running afterwards if you want to bring your runners

Training: Open Water Swims every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 07.00 and evenings at 6.15 in Lough Key Forest Park; Run sessions are now taking place after the swims on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings and finish at approx 08.30; Sunday morning full sprint triathlon training starts at 8 with a 750 metre swim in Lough Key followed by a 25km Cycle around the lake at 8.30, then a 5km forest run.

Lough Key Sprint Race meeting: Very productive meeting tonight in Murtagh’s. Finbarr has loads of jobs to handout to anyone interested in giving a hand. Please keep the names of marshals coming in as we need all the help we can get.

Lough Key Sprint Race Weekend (Racing and Social): The plan for the weekend of the Sprint race on September 8/9, is this : Saturday morning from approx 11 we will set up the course and transition; Saturday afternoon (approx 3.00) any member not racing Sunday is invited to race the course; Saturday evening from 7-9 is registration in Lough Key and goodie bags packing; Sunday morning the official race takes place with all members either racing or marshalling. Sunday night (approx 9 o clock till late) there will be a Club get-together in Murtagh’s recap of the year, with presentations of prizes etc, all members, their other halves and family and friends are invited. (Book Monday OFF). Finger food and a good nights crack will be provided. If you have anything to contribute (photo’s / stories etc ) to the night then please contact Lorcan or Donal.
