Good displays from Kinlough swimmers

Kinlough members of Marlins Swimming Club in Ballyshannon have enjoyed good success in the pool in recwent weeks, particularly in the National Minor Schools Championships in Galway last Saturday.

Kinlough members of Marlins Swimming Club in Ballyshannon have enjoyed good success in the pool in recwent weeks, particularly in the National Minor Schools Championships in Galway last Saturday.

Mouric McSharry, Hannah Gilmartin, Odhran O’Hara, Cian Rooney, Kyle Murray, Conor Foy, Gero Gilmartin & Cora Rooney, all members of Marlins SC, qualified for the Nationals in Galway representing their Schools - Four Masters NS, Carne NS, Holy Family NS and Creevy NS. All swimmers had great swims, Cian Rooney and Hannah Gilmartin making the finals in their events. Cian Rooney securing a bronze in Backstroke.

Development Meet 4 Ballymena: Last Saturday’s final Ulster Development Meet for this Season, many Marlins SC swimmers made times out of these Meets to get them into the Qualifying Meets and then into the Ulster Age Groups next weekend.  

Dara Dolan, Aoibhinn Gallagher, Oisin Kerr, Roise McGagh, Laoise Gallagher, Meave Rooney, Niamh Duffy, Erin McGowan, and Lauren McHugh travelled to the Dev Meet yesterday and as well as all coming home with PB’s with many in strong age groups.

Ulster Youth & Age Group Championships: Ruby Hurst, Eanna O’Hara, Roisin Maguire, Mona McSharry and Cian Rooney are traveling to Lisburn March 15-17 weekend for the Ulster Y & AG Championships.
