Congrats to our Club Athletes who took part in the National Indoors in AIT Athlone on Saturday last.
Dearbhaile Beirne and James McNabola both took home gold medals, Michelle Beirne and Peter O’Neill took Silver and Aisling McNabola took Bronze. All five club athletes took part in race walking and were all very deserving winners, we are very proud of you all. All of the hard work and training paid off.
Alannah McGuinness took part for the first time in a National competition – U-12 60m sprint, Alannah ran a very determined race but was unfortunate not to qualify for the finals. Well done Alannah this is only the beginning of your athletic career.
Good luck to Dearbhaile Beirne who is a member of the Irish U-15 FAI Soccer team who are taking part in the Bob Doherty Tournament in Belfast starting on Easter Monday. Dearbhaile had to leave after her event on Saturday and go to Dublin to train with the Irish team and had to forfeit taking part in 200m and 1500m events that she had qualified in.
Training has been cancelled for the juveniles until after Easter holidays and will resume on Monday, April 8. Adult Running Club continues on Tuesday & Thursday evenings 8pm, please see Facebook page or contact Anne Macklin / Peter Logan
Registration: Can parents who have not returned Registration forms and fees please return to Eilish McNabola.
