Colin gets London nod

After achieving the qualifying time last week in Russia, Colin Griffin was officially nominated by Athletics Ireland to compete in this year’s London Olympics in the 50Km walk.

After achieving the qualifying time last week in Russia, Colin Griffin was officially nominated by Athletics Ireland to compete in this year’s London Olympics in the 50Km walk.

The Ballinamore walker has been nominated by Athletics Ireland along with Rob Heffernan and Brendan Boyce and it is expected that the Olympic Council of Ireland will formally select the trio for London in due course.
