Gene wins Carling Leitrim Masters

A well attended competition with some great darts thrown throughout the day. Well done to Gene Connolly who beat Eugene McDermott senior in a great final coming from two-nil down in the final to win hard luck Eugene.

Beaten semi finalists were Ray Mulvey and Rory Blain, a big thank you to Carling for sponsoring the masters David Carthy for his hospitality and refreshments served on the day thanks.

Next confirmed date is the first county trials in The Poor Scholar Ballinamore on May 25, starting at 3 pm sharp.

Croghan Community Games Area Sports Day & Swimming Medals

The Area Sports Day will be held on Friday, May 2, in Croghan Pitch. Registration from 5:30, first race at 6pm. Come along and support. A great time guaranteed for all.

The Swimming County Finals were on April13, in Roscommon Pool. All our area swimmers did very well. Congratulations to Adam Wynne who won bronze medal in the U8 Freestyle. Also well done to Kielan Hanifa, Ciaran Ryan, Leanne O’Dowd and Shannon O’Dowd who all came fourth in their races.

Carrick Tennis

Sunday, May 11, from 2-6pm, all the family are very welcome to come down to the courts, meet our new coach, free lessons, try out our new coaching equipment, meet the members and enjoy some refreshments.

New coaching lessons will start on Wednesday, May 14. Lessons will cater for all levels and abilities from age 4 upwards and will run in six week blocks for one hour lessons per group. €59 club members and €64 for non-members. More details to follow next week.
