The Eugene McDermott Junior Memorial Darts competition was held last Saturday in Jackies Ballinamore and was a great success.

The Eugene McDermott Junior Memorial Darts competition was held last Saturday in Jackies Ballinamore and was a great success.

Thank you to everyone who came, especially those who travelled long distances. In the quarter finals were Frank Mulvey v Timmy Duignan, Caillin McDermott v Gene Connolly, Stephen McDermott v Brian Kelly and Eugene McDermott v Declan McGoldrick.

Some great games ended with Timmy Duignan beating Gene Connolly in one semi and Stephen McDermott getting the better of his father Eugene in the second with Stephen beating Timmy in a great final.

There was a raffle on the night and thanks to Tesco, Cara pharmacy,Super Valu, MC Decorating Services, Pauline Crosbie and Arlene & Gene for all the lovely raffle prizes. Thanks to Pauline for making the bouquets of flowers and Kathryn for her hospitality and refreshments served.

Next Sunday sees round four of the County eight nighter in Carthys Leitrim Village, boards open at 6pm with 7 pm start. The Teresa McCabe Memorial Darts competition will take place in the Poor Scholar Ballinamore on Sunday, September 28, check out the Leitrim Darts Facebook page for more information.
