O’Hara brothers shine in Athlone

Medals galore in the O'Hara household in Kinlough last weekend as brothers Eanna, John James and Odhran all claimed medals in the swimming events at the HSE National Community Games Finals in Athlone. On a magnficient weekend for Leitrim with three gold medals in the pool, a team medal in the cross-country team event along with further medals in handwriting and the swimming pool, the three O'Haras claimed two gold and a bronze in a remarkable achievement for the young Kinlough swimmers.

Medals galore in the O’Hara household in Kinlough last weekend as brothers Eanna, John James and Odhran all claimed medals in the swimming events at the HSE National Community Games Finals in Athlone.

On a magnificent weekend for Leitrim with three gold medals in the pool, a medal in the cross-country team event, along with further medals in handwriting and the swimming pool, the three O’Haras claimed two gold and a bronze in a remarkable achievement for the young Kinlough swimmers.

Carrick-on-Shannon’s Viktoria Weinert also claimed gold in the swimming pool while there were silver medals for Liadan Ruddy and Carrie McDaid and a bronze for Kinlough’s Gero Gilmartin on a remarkable success for the county’s swimmers.

Mohill duo Cian McNulty and Ella Byrne took home medals from the U12 handwriting competition while Leitrim won fourth place medals in the U14 Cross-country with Fenagh’s Ellie O’Rourke taking home a fourth place individual medal. Well done everyone!
