A fantastic week-end for Carrick Fins, at the Irish Age Group Division 2 Championships held in the University of Limerick Arena from 30 th June to 3 rd July last.
Representing the club were Kieran Breheny, Lauryn McKeon, Jennifer Andrews and Laoise Fee.
Friday saw Laoise Fee take over two seconds off her personal best, with a Division 1
qualifying time, of 1:28:38 in the 100m Breaststroke.
Lauryn McKeon competed in the 100m Back Crawl, finishing in a time of 1:26:47.
Kieran Breheny posted a new personal best of 1:23:16 in the 100m Breaststroke and Jennifer Andrews shaved over three seconds off her personal best in the 100m Back Crawl, finishing in a time of 1:16:84.
Highlight of the day was Jennifer Andrews performance in the 100m Breaststroke, winning silver with a new personal best, and Division 1 qualifying time,
of 1:25:24.
Saturday saw Jennifer go one better with gold in the 200m Individual Medley with a new personal best and Division 1 qualifying time, of 2:40:89.
The excellent performances continued into Sunday, with personal bests Jennifer in the 100m Front Crawl and for Kieran and Laoise in the 200m Breaststroke. Another
podium finish for Jennifer, bringing her tally for the week-end to three, with silver and a Division 1 qualifying time of 3:01:86 in the 200m Breaststroke.
