Connacht Athletics Development squad next Sunday in Claremorris

Leitrim up and coming young athletes will be heading to Claremorris next Sunday, November 20, for the first Connacht Development Squad day of the 2016/2017 season.

The Connacht Development Day is an excellent opportunity for athletes to avail of collective training with peers under the guidance of an experienced coach to complement the coaching you receive in your club.

Events catered from are sprints, hurdles, jumps, throws & walks and anyone who  finished in the top six at a Connacht Schools or Connacht Clubs championships in Indoor T&F, Outdoor T&F, Cross-country or combined Events in 2015/2016, or are at an equivalent standard, are invited to attend.

Due to the National Cross-country taking place on November 27, Sunday’s squad will not be catering for middle-distance.

Cost of the event is €5, payable at the online registration at https://events.athleticsireland.ie/ps/event/ConnachtDevelopmentSquad201116/EntryForm?id=24283&mode. If insufficient numbers confirm attendance in any given event, then that event will not be catered for, and those who have registered will be notified of this and given a refund.

Athletes are asked to meet up at 12.15 for a 12.30 in the indoor arena with the day finishing at approximately 3 pm. Be prepared for possible inclement weather some events will likely train outdoors and consider bringing a packed lunch.
