Help devise Healthy Leitrim strategy

Public meetings will be held next week to help Leitrim County Council devise a “Healthy Leitrim Strategy” and your help is needed.

Meetings will be held next Tuesday, June 12, in the Bee Park Community Centre in Manorhamilton, on Wednesday, June 13, in Ballinamore Community Centre and on Wednesday June 20, in the Council offices in Carrick-on-Shannon, all starting at 7pm.

Healthy Ireland is a government-led initiative which aims to create an Irish society where everyone can enjoy physical and mental health and where wellbeing is valued and supported at every level.

As part of the initiative, Leitrim County Council through LCDC plan to develop a Healthy Leitrim Strategy. We are keen to hear the views of individuals and organisations, both local and national, who have an interest in health and wellbeing within the county and what they would like to see going forward.

If you would like any further information please do not hesitate to contact Blánaid Carney Healthy Leitrim Project Coordinator on 0877956680.
