The first of two county trials was held on Sunday last, while there were a number of absentees, there was still a good turnout of 20 players.

The trial was run in 4 seeded groups, with G. Connolly emerging as the only player to achieve 100% with four wins, followed by S. Gannon, B. Berine & B. Kelly on three wins each, 11 players had two wins and had one win each.

On the night a number of competittors voiced their opinions that one ranking point for each win wasn’t correct, others questioned the entry fee, while time keeping by a number of others to say the least was a little lax. The night of a competition is neither the time or the place to express opinions. We recently held our AGM and hold regular well publisized mettings please use this forum to expres your very valid and valuable opinions.

Well done to Christy for running the show great to see Paul back and lending his expertise. Thank you to Tommy for sponsorship, refreshments, & excellent facilites for staging darts. Our second trials take place on Sunday, December 9, in the Blue Devon more details next week.
