The exhibition event by the two top ranked World darts players Wes Newton and Dean Stanley from England that Manor Darts staged in Gurn’s Milestone Lounge Manorhamilton on Friday night was an outstanding success.
There was a great turn out for this popular promotion on the occasion and an excellent amount was raised by Manor Darts for the two designated benefiting charities, namely, Irish Autism Action and STOP Suicide.
A delighted Manor Darts spokesman Gerry Clancy said afterwards “on behalf of Manor Darts I would like to thank everyone who supported, helped out, threw and contributed in any way on the night. A sum of €2,000 was raised for Irish Autism Action and STOP Suicide.”
Paying tribute to the world ranked visiting stars of the night Clancy noted “Dean Winstanley and Wes ‘The Warrior’ Newton – what can I say – two absolute gentlemen – and I don’t think we can top those two lads.
“A special word of thanks is extended to Gurn’s Bar, Dave Cummins, Seán McSharry and Alan Gilligan for all their hard work and efforts in promoting and running the event.
“I would also like to thank the security team of Finbar Twomey, Killian McGriskin, Daryl Hannon and Andrew Gilligan as well as our super raffle ladies Carmel Sheridan and Fiona Ó’hEimhin.
“Finally thanks to Padraig Thornton the man with the camera who did a brilliant job and made everyone put on a big smile. There are too many more for me to list but thanks to everyone. It is a great boost for both these local charities” Gerry remarked in conclusion.
