Round five of the Carrick Taxies Singles leauge took place in Jackies of Ballinamore last Sunday with 18 players in action.

E. McDermott Jnr got his first points on the leauge table with a fine win over the consistent newcomer Brian  Kelly in the final. This was Brian’s second runners up spot in his two attempts, third time lucky next week Brian? The beaten semi-finalists were Eugune (snr) & L. Aldridge. There are now 13 players on the leauge table all to play for over the next three rounds.

We are in Nightlinks Mohill next Sunday where we hope to see a good turn out of locals plus all our regulars. We are in Shortt’s for round seven and round eight is in Drumcoura Saloon with an earlier than usual start to facilatate our fundraising Race-night & social. We hope everyone is making a big effort at attaining sponsorship and selling horses.

The Goal Post in Arva are running a €2700 double in &out compettion over ten Monday nights, eight nights left well worh a visit.

Therese McCabe Open Memorial Tourament takes place this Friday night in the Poor Scholar, Ballinamore. Support would be appreciated, check in 8/30. Thank you to Jackies for their sponsorship of round five of the Carrick Taxies Singles leauge & for refreshments provided
