Pride of place this week goes to Brid Sullivan and Breda Travers who defeated Lough Gall GC, Co Armagh in the Irish Daily Mail All Ireland Foursomes Quarter Final in Ballinamore on Sunday last.
It was a very close match throughout with the Ballinamore ladies winning on the 17th. They will now represent the club at the All Ireland Finals in Carton House GC on September 8 & 9. Well done from all in the Club.
18 hole stroke Open: A great turnout last weekend, well done to all who enetered, there was some great scoring with Adrian Gallogly finishing top of the table with a fine score of 62 nett. Second was Paul Kennedy with 65 nett and third was Seamus Doyle with 68 nett. Results for the Bank Holiday will be in next weeks notes or check it out from today Wednesday on www.masterscoreboard.co.uk and find the Ballinamore Golf Club and select the competition.
Friday Evening Scrambles: Evenings are starting to close and this Friday the draw will be at the earlier time of 6:30 sharp, don’t be late.
Connacht Shield: Well done to the Connacht Shield team and team captains who progressed to the next round and will play Rosses Point on Monday, August 12, please come out and support the team.
Spare golf balls: There is a bin in the clubhouse for spare golf balls to help with lessons for the juveniles,please contribute to this box when you can. Thank you.
Juveniles Coaching: This Thursday, Ballinamore Golf are privileged to have one of Connaughts top teaching professionals at the club. Leslie Robinson will be at the club as follows; girls from 10:30am sharp, boys from 11:15am sharp. Lesson costs is €5 per child. Fixtures: Wednesday (today) is the Toolan Cup which is an S&B GOY competition. There is a draw-sheet in the clubhouse for the Lady President Anne Lyons day on Saturday, August 24, and we hope all members will take part.
