Minister of State at OPW  to tour Leitrim and Roscommon on Monday

Minister of State at the Office of Public Works (OPW) and Flood Relief, Sean Canney, is set to visit Counties Leitrim and Roscommon on Monday.

Independent TD, Michael Fitzmaurice, told the Leitrim Observer that the Minister of State will visit flood impacted areas in the both counties on September 19.

"We need practical solutions to prevent any further misery in the region this winter," said Deputy Fitzmaurice.

"I have constantly said that listening to local people and putting realistic measures into place are the way to solve further problems and I will be impressing on Minister Canney on Monday that immediate measures will need to be taken to prevent serious flooding in this region this coming Winter".
