Local Deaths - Update

Donegal Death Notices for Tuesday, September 20th

The following deaths have occurred in the Leitrim area:

John-Frank McKeon, Smear Road, Aughnacliffe, Co. Longford

John-Frank McKeon, Smear Road, Aughnacliffe, Co. Longford on Tuesday, 11th October, 2016. Predeceased by his parents Rose and Patrick and his brother Pat. John-Frank died peacefully at the Mater Hospital, Dublin surrounded by his family. John-Frank will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Helen, his adored children Shauna, Caoimhe, Lauren, Siobhan, Niamh, Oisin, brothers Gerry (Smear), Cieran (Pulladoey), Enda (Ballinalee), sisters Anna May McCabe (Cornadrung), Margaret Caherly (USA), Rosaleen McGee (Smear Road), Bernadette McCarthy (Farragh, Killoe), nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, mother-in-law Mary Gorham, aunts Sr Anna May Reilly (USA), Mrs Briget Reilly (Cornadrung), relatives, neighbours, friends and his close friend Pat Brady.

John-Frank's remains will be reposing at his home on Friday 14th from 12 noon and also on Saturday 15th from 11am to 3pm. Remains will arrive to St Colmcille's Church, Aughnacliffe, on Saturday 15th for prayers at 5pm. Requiem Mass on Sunday 16th at 1pm with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Family time from 3pm on Saturday 15th please.

Christopher (Chris) Grufferty, Slatta, Kilglass, Co. Roscommon

Christopher (Chris) Grufferty, Benfort, Middlesex, died Saturday, October 8th, in England surrounded by his family. Cherished husband of Peggy (nee Boland), formerly of Slattamore, Rooskey, Co. Roscommon. Deeply regretted by his brother Tom (England), sisters-in-law Val, Eileen and Mairead, Jo Feeney (Slatta), brother-in-law Eugene Boland (Rooskey), nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Removal on Sunday evening, October 16th, to arrive at St Anne's Church, Slatta at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Monday at 12 noon, burial afterwards in Kilglass New Cemetery. 

Seamus Reynolds, Knockroosk, Gorvagh, Leitrim

Seamus Reynolds, Knockroosk, Gorvagh, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co.Leitrim, who died on Tuesday 11th October at his residence. Predeceased by his wife Margaret. Sadly missed by his sons Sean and Brendan, daughter Christina, brother John, daughters in law, son in law, grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Removal from his residence this Thursday evening at 6.30 o'clock arriving at St. Mary's Church, Foxfield at 7 o'clock. Funeral Mass Friday at 11.30. Burial afterwards in St. Mary's new cemetery, Foxfield. House private on Thursday please.

Jim McGovern, Gubnafarna, Swanlinbar, Co. Cavan

Deeply regretted by his nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at Finnegan's Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan from this Thursday, 13th October, from 4.30pm until removal at 6.30pm to arrive (via Mill Road) at Saint Mary's Church, Swanlinbar, at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at 11am, with burial in Killaduff Cemetery.

Celia McGee (née Rudden) Donaghmede, Dublin / Belturbet, Co. Cavan

Celia McGee (née Rudden) (Donaghmede and formerly Belturbet, Co. Cavan) Oct. 10th 2016. (peacefully) in St Joseph’s Hospital, Raheny, dearly beloved wife of the late Cathal and loving mother of John, Cathal and Brian, very sadly missed by her loving family, daughters-in-law Brid, Caroline and Elaine, grandchildren Niall, Ciara, Paul and Adam, sister Maise, extended family, relatives and friends.

Removal on Thursday morning to the Church of The Holy Trinity, Donaghmede to arrive for Funeral Mass at 10am and thereafter to Fingal Cemetery, Balgriffin.
