Recent deaths in Tipperary, Friday October 14

The following deaths have occurred in the local area:


Eddie Feeley - Blacklion, Co. Cavan

Eddie Feeley, late of Stranamorth, Blacklion, County Cavan, (Former Member and Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council), peacefully, at home surrounded by his loving family. Deeply regretted by his wife Patsy, his sons, Eddie (Boston, U.S.A), Jimmy, Bernard (Mullaghdun), Philip, Myles, Patrick and John Paul (Member Cavan County Council), his daughters-in-law Denise, Martina, Celia, Bernadette and Angela, his twenty grandchildren, his sister, Nora Carty (London), his extended family, neighbours and many friends. Predeceased by his brothers, Pappy, Jimmy, Myles and sister Annie.

Reposing at his family home today, Saturday, 29th October, from 1pm. Removal to Saint Patrick’s Church, Killinagh, Blacklion, County Cavan on Sunday, 30th October at 7pm. House strictly private from 3pm on Sunday afternoon. Requiem Mass on Monday, 31st October at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Maureen Grogan (née Gallogly) - Cootehill, Co. Cavan / Aughavas, Co. Leitrim

Maureen Grogan (nee Gallogly), Drumnaveil North, Station Road, Cootehill, Co. Cavan, formerly Aughavas, Leitrim. Peacefully in the loving care of her family and staff of St. Vincent's Ward Mater Hospital, Dublin on Friday, 28th October, 2016. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving husband Sean, son Ciaran, daughter Aoife, mother-in-law Mary, sisters Peggy, Bernie and Julie, brother Gerry, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at her home this Saturday from 2pm to 9pm. Removal leaving Her home on Sunday at 1.30pm to arrive at St. Michael's Church, Cootehill for 2pm Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in St. Michael 's Cemetery, Cootehill. Family flowers only please. House private at all other times, also on Sunday morning please.


Anna Christina (Crissie) Fitzpatrick - Belturbet, Co. Cavan

Anna Christina (Crissie) Fitzpatrick, nee McGrath, 20 Holborn Hill, Belturbet, Co. Cavan on Thursday, October 27th, 2016. Beloved wife of the late James. Peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. Deeply regretted by her loving sons James, Sean and Pauric, grandchildren Niamh, Ronan, Aidan and Aoife, brother Dan, daughters-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Removal of remains from her residence today Saturday at 1pm to arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Drumalee for Funeral Mass at 1.30pm with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.


Veronica (Vera) Maher - Dublin / Drumlish, Co. Longford

Veronica (Vera) Maher, (née Devaney), St. Columbanus Road, Dublin 14 and Drumlish, Co. Longford) on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, suddenly at home. Beloved wife of Pat, loving mother of Jennifer, Stephen and Dean and daughter of Johanna and the late Peter Devaney. Sadly missed by her family, brothers and sisters Nuala, Billy, Annie, Peter, Martin and Bridget, stepchildren Ian, Tracy, Paddy, Richie and Barry, grandchildren Brooke, Brianne and Bailey, step grandchildren Gareth, Evan, Adam, Nathan and Corey, relatives and many friends.

Funeral Mass today Saturday (Oct 29) at 10am in the Church of the Miraculous Medal, Bird Ave, Clonskeagh, followed by burial at Bohernabreena Cemetery.

John Martin Connor - Strokestown, Co Roscommon

John Martin Connor, Aughadangan, Strokestown, Co Roscommon peacefully in the loving care of all the staff at Inis Ree Lodge Nursing Home, Ballyleague, and in his 90th year on Wednesday, October 26. Beloved husband of Bridie and much loved father of Mary, John, Dorothy, Eileen, Margaret, Olive, Roger, Alice and Thomas. He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing wife and family, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, sister Mary [U.S.A], brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends. Funeral Mass on Saturday, October 29 at 11am, with burial afterwards in Lissonuffy Cemetery.
