Death of former Cavan Council chairman

The death has occurred of Eddie Feeley, Stranamorth, Blacklion, Co. Cavan, former Member and Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council. Mr Feeley, a member of the Fianna Fail party who represented West Cavan for many years on Cavan County Council, died at home surrounded by his loving family.

He is deeply regretted by his wife Patsy, his sons, Eddie (Boston, U.S.A), Jimmy, Bernard (Mullaghdun), Philip, Myles, Patrick and John Paul (Member Cavan County Council), his daughters-in-law Denise, Martina, Celia, Bernadette and Angela, his twenty grandchildren, his sister, Nora Carty (London), his extended family, neighbours and many friends. Predeceased by his brothers, Pappy, Jimmy, Myles and sister Annie.

Mr Feeley's remains will repose at his family home today, Saturday, 29th October, from 1pm. Removal to Saint Patrick’s Church, Killinagh, Blacklion, on Sunday, 30th October at 7pm. House strictly private from 3pm on Sunday afternoon. Requiem Mass on Monday, 31st October at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
