Odds slashed for snowy weather on St Patrick's Day

Will we be seeing snow on St Patrick's Day this year?

The odds on a snowy St Patrick's Day have been slashed from 5/1 to 15/8 by BoyleSports after recent cold conditions.

Meteorologists have warned that the period of unsettled weather will continue into next week, raising the possibility of hats, scarves and gloves dominating the attire of St Patrick’s Day revellers.

It is also now 10/1 from 25/1 that Easter Sunday on April 21st is hit with snowfall, while the the mothers may well be putting their feet up in front of the fire with the odds on Mother’s Day snow on March 31st falling to 13/2 from 10/1.

Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “There will be plenty of the black stuff on the go next Sunday but it’s the white stuff that has us running scared at the minute because the bets have become much more than a small flurry over the last couple of days.”
