Lough Allen Natural Gas Company Ltd (LANGCO) one of the companies holding an exploration licence for this area has renewed its registration with the Companies Registration Office (CRO).
LANGCO had been struck off the companies register by January 2012 having failed to file accounts. But the gas company have recently reactivated the company be filling abridged financial statements. The company now lists Thomas Anderson and Finbarr Carrig as directors of LANGCO.
Most of the focus on fracking has been aimed at Tamboran Resources over the past 12 months, but LANGCOs return to the field will cause concern for those fighting against fracking in Leitrim. LANGCO has just a small area of the licence area in Leitrim, most of it’s area is located in West Cavan.
If LANGCO are to remain players in the future gas plans they must submit reports to the Petroleum Affairs Division by November 30 this year as part of the licence agreement. The company will then have until February 2013 to apply for an exploration licence or relinquish the acreage.
