At a recent meeting of Leitrim County Council, Cllr Martin Kenny asked, “when will works to be carried out on the road L 5558-0, this road runs between the L 1511 at Lisgillock through the townlands of Ballakiltyfea on to Drumahallagh on the L 1494 on the Cloone to Greagh cross road.
The road needs to be resurfaced, as it is in poor condition with potholes and uneven surface.”
In the reply by Director of Service, Cllr Kenny was told, “The road in question is not included in the 2013 Roads Programme however routine maintenance will be undertaken within the confines of the limited funding available.” However in the meantime Cllr Kenny has been informed that extra funds have come on stream and that resurfacing will soon be carried out on the worst section of the road.
