Almost 80 people attended a United farmers Association)meeting in Drumshanbo last week on the prospect of Fracking in Leitrim.
The meeting was addressed by Bertie Wall President UFA, Michael Colreavy TD SF, Des Guckian, Councillors Gerry Dolan IND, Mary Bohan FF, Cllr Martin Kenny SF and local John Bailey. Chemicals, explosions, flow-backs and spills were discussed.
Colreavy said he is to introduce a bill to outlaw gas extraction into the Dáil.
