Work has commenced on a new playground and development of Cootehall village.
Footpaths and landscaping form part of the first phase of work at the site adjacent to the former Cootehall Garda Station. The village can also expect new decorative street lamps for the village centre in association with Airtricity. The two projects will see an investment of over €150,000 for Cootehall.
Works at the new playground are expected to be completed by the end of December or early January.
The Garda Station in Keadue is also getting a make over. The listed building will get a new roof, new gutters, downpipes and painting of the interior and exterior. The entire project is expected to take two months to complete by the Keadue Dev Association.
