The state purchased 438 new Garda vehicles last year at a cost of €10m.
Out of this, 46 vehicles were assigned to the Sligo-Leitrim division.
The allocation was up three from 2012 but was almost 10 less than what was available in the Garda division in 2007.
The Cavan- Monaghan Division were also allocated 46 Garda cars last year, while Roscommon-Longford were provided with 40 vehicles. In addition, €4m has been made available for the purchase and fit out of Garda vehicles in 2014.
Minister Frances Fitzgerald releasing the figures said: “This represents a very considerable financial investment in Garda transport, particularly at a time when the level of funding available across the public sector is severely limited.”
