A spokesperson for the Garda Press Office has confirmed that local gardaí are investigating a robbery at a Post Office on Glebe St, Mohill at 9.30am this morning (Thursday, December 4).
The spokesperson, told the Leitrim Observer that “two masked raiders carrying what is believed to be a firearm and a hatchet” stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the post office.
It is believed they made their getaway in a red coloured car.
Anyone who may have been in the Glebe St area of Mohill between 9am and 9.45am this morning and who may have noticed the red car or have information on the robbery, should contact Carrick-on-Shannon Gardai on (071) 9620021.
