A 31-year-old man died in a single vehicle accident in Co Cavan on Sunday evening last.
The man’s car hit a tree on the Ballinagh to Crossdoney road at around a 10.15pm on Sunday night.
He was taken to Cavan General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The road remained closed for a Forensic Collision Examination for a number of hours following the accident, but it has since been reopened.
He is the 180th person to die on our roads this year.
At the time of going to press, no name had been released for the victim.
