Bundoran RNLI launched a lifeboat to rescue users of an overturned jet-ski on Saturday afternoon, August 2.
Just after 4pm, four people were reported in the water off Murvagh Beach after their jet-ski capsized.
The lifeboat William Henry Liddington launched and made their way across Donegal Bay. The Sligo based Rescue 118 helicopter also launched to the scene.
Upon arrival, the RNLI crew found that the family of four from Northern Ireland had made their way safely to shore.
Brian Gillespie, Bundoran RNLI said: “Thankfully the family were wearing lifejackets, otherwise this could have been a much more serious situation. We would remind water users to always wear a lifejacket. If a member of the public sees someone in danger call 999 and ask for the Coast Guard.”
