John Perry TD welcomed the appointment of a second Neurologist at Sligo Regional Hospital last week.
“This is a positive development for Sligo Regional, together with the state of the art medical academy building which is in its final stages. The educational facility will be directly linked to University Collage Galway. The €2 million euro facility will include a lecture theatre, clinical skills laboratory, tutorial rooms, consultation rooms, tutor offices, and study spaces for the students.
Deputy Perry has also confirmed that a meeting of the Saolta Board will take place early next week with the proposed Cardio-Catheterisation Laboratory on the board’s agenda.
“I am very pleased at this progress. I will continue my efforts to have a fixed CATH lab located in Sligo Regional to serve the people of Sligo, Leitrim, North Roscommon, Donegal, North Mayo, West Cavan and West Fermanagh”.
