The Dock, Carrick-on-Shannon is delighted to host a number of exciting workshops throughout the month of April. Keep reading to find out more!
You will find additional information on www.thedock.ie or by calling the box office on 071 96 50 828.
Having already started on Saturday, April 15 and running until Saturday, July 15‘Writers at The Dock’ is a weekly gathering of writers, facilitated by locally based wordsmith, Gerry Boland, and is open to anyone interested in developing their writing.
The writer and poet realised that many talented writers in the locality felt that they needed support and some guidance, and so, in order to meet the needs of those wanting to develop their skills, these on-going workshops were conceived.
Every Saturday from 11am – 12.30pm, writers gather in a room at The Dock to read, write and to exchange ideas about what makes good literature.
There is reading and analysis of texts, there are writing exercises, and there are wide-ranging discussions about writing and all things related.
If you would like to find out more about ‘Writers at The Dock’ you can call or email Gerry directly at 087-6397557 or gerry.boland@gmail.com
