Search for man tackled by off-duty gardai

Gardai in carrick-on-Shannon are continuing their investigations into an incident at approximately 5.30am on the morning of November 25, when two off duty gardai from outside the district, tackled two men who were observed on the grounds of Meanscoil Fatima, Ballinamore.

Gardai in carrick-on-Shannon are continuing their investigations into an incident at approximately 5.30am on the morning of November 25, when two off duty gardai from outside the district, tackled two men who were observed on the grounds of Meanscoil Fatima, Ballinamore.

One of those men, Aivares Samuilis, 8 Anvil Court, Ballinamore was arrested and sentenced to four months in prison when he appeared before Sligo District Court and investigations are ongoing into determining the identity of the other man, who fled from the scene and finding him.
