Independent North West MEP Marian Harkin claims Ireland’s referendum result can be used as a negotiating asset ahead of the next EU summit at the end of June.

Fine Gael MEP for Dublin, Gay Mitchell also called on the EU to “reciprocate Ireland’s demonstration of judgement and responsibility with solidarity”, and added that the growth agenda “must now take centre stage.”
