Carrick-on-Shannon Gardaí are investigating a ram-raid style break-in at a shop Carrick-on-Shannon over night.

Carrick-on-Shannon Gardaí are investigating a ram-raid style break-in at a shop Carrick-on-Shannon over night.

The incident happened at the premises on the Boyle road at around 4am this morning (Friday, August 31).

Gardaí believe an ATM machine which was located within the premises may have been the intended target of the attack however, nothing was taken during the incident.

Gardaí are appealing for information regarding the whereabouts of a Blue Toyota Rav Jeep registration number 10 G 1215.

It’s believed the vehicle may have been stolen.

Anyone who may have seen the suspect vehicle or may have noticed anything suspicious in the Boyle Road area of the town in the early hours of this morning (Friday) is asked to contact Carrick-on-Shannon Garda Station on 071 962 0021.
