Fenagh Development Company have been granted planning permission to extend the community centre in the village.
Leitrim County Council have agreed to conditional permission for the alteration and extension of Fenagh Community Centre.
Works applied for include the demolition of existing rear extension and construction of single story extensions to the front and side of the building and two storey extension to the rear at Foxfield, Fenagh. The planning permission also grants the provision of parking, installation of a new effluent public sewer and associated development works. The HSE Environmental Health section as well as the pre-school services department submitted information on the planning application.
Fenagh Community Centre currently has a heritage area which provides explanations, descriptions and maps of the area, a Dolmen cafe which serves refreshments and snacks, a kids play area ‘Little Monks Den’ and a conference centre which hosts local meetings and also provides internet, training facilities and ISDN connection.
