Boyle Gardai are investigating two incidents of suspected youths throwing stones at vehicles from a bridge on the N4 outside of Boyle.

Boyle Gardai are investigating two incidents of suspected youths throwing stones at vehicles from a bridge on the N4 outside of Boyle.

Two incidents were reported last Sunday night, November 3 where cars had stones thrown at them while driving along the N4 in the townland of Erris at 8.45pm and 11pm.

It’s unknown how many individuals were involved however there was considerable damage sustained to windscreens on two cars.

Gardai are concerned that there could have been more serious consequences and are urging drivers to proceed carefully in that area as the investigation continues.

They are also appealing for information from any witnesses who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area to contact them at Boyle Garda Station.
