The position of a Principal for Ballinamore’s new Community School currently under construction, is being advertised on publicjobs.ie
The Board of Management of Ballinamore Community School are seeking application from “suitably qualified persons for the post of Principal” at Ballinamore’s new secondary school. Applicants must have at least five years whole-time teaching experience.
Ballinamore Community School is an amalgamation of Fatima Secondary School, Ballinamore Vocational School and St. Felim’s Secondary School. It is under the trusteeship of the Bishop of Kilmore, Co Leitrim VEC and the Order of the Sisters of Mercy.
The new community school building which is due to open in February 2014 with an expected enrolment of 285 pupils is currently under construction with a PPP contract.
The job advertisement was posted earlier this month and the closing date for applications is April 17. It is expected that the successful applicant will take up duty in June 2013.
Application forms may be obtained from the HR Dept. of Co. Leitrim VEC.
Leitrim VEC discussed the vacant post at a recent meeting, members from the committee were formed to sit on a panel for staff selection at Ballinamore Community School.
The committee were informed that the new building is “progressing.”
