A Garda spokesperson has confirmed there have been no developments in the investigations into three separate incidents of cattle theft.

Speaking to the Leitrim Observer the Garda spokesperson said, “At the moment there are no suspects. Rumours that the animals have been recovered and people arrested are groundless. If any member of the public has any information in relation to these thefts that information should be passed on to any Garda Station or by contacting the Garda confidential line - 1800 666 111.

It was also stated that these animals are not suitable for slaughter and are believed to be on farms somewhere. If a farmer notices anything unusual or suspicious on another farm he is asked to contact the gardai who will investigate fully and in confidence.
