Gardai in Carrick-on-Shannon are investigating an incident of dangerous driving in the town in which a man was carried on the bonnet of a car.

Gardai in Carrick-on-Shannon are investigating an incident of dangerous driving in the town in which a man was carried on the bonnet of a car.

The incident took place on Wednesday, February 11th at approximately 9.45pm. There was a report made to gardai of dangerous driving at Supermacs Carpark, Cortober, Carrick-on-Shannon where an individual jumped onto the bonnet of a moving car and was dragged for a distance before falling off it.

It is understood that a previous business transaction was conducted between the driver and another man. An associate of this other man was the one who jumped onto the bonnet and was transported for a distance before falling off.

Gardai in Carrick-on-Shannon are seeking further information and are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them on 071-9620021.
