The following questions were raised by councillors at the March meeting of Leitrim County Council.
Routine maintenance will be carried out on the road from Kilcoo Bridge to Kiltyclogher Village following a request by Cllr Tony Ferguson at the recent monthly meeting.
He was told work would be carried out on this route as part of the County Roads Maintenance Programme.”
Flood relief sought
Leitrim County Council is in the process of making an application to the OPW for further funding to alleviate flooding on the Greyfield/Tawnylea Road.
The news comes following a query by Cllr Mary Bohan.
Berth signage in Leitrim village
Waterways Ireland will be asked to erect signage for cruiser traffic coming into Leitrim Village following a query by Cllr Enda McGloin.
Cllr McGloin asked that signage be put in place indicating where public berthing is available as a move to encouraging tourists to stop in the village.
Work on L53771
Although the road L53771 at Drumreilly, Garadice has not been included n the 2012 programme of resurfacing, Cllr Gordon Hughes was told that routine maintenance works will be carried out at this location as necessary.
