Pádriag Belton is doing a solo charity job from Malin to Mizen head this month to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Running 400 miles in total, a clip of about 33 miles a day from October 1-12, he will be stopping in Ballinamore on October 4th.

He was sent off at the top of Ireland by a group of locals from Movile, Derry, and Donegal, and will be met in Mizen Head on October 12th.

Along the way he is being hosted by kindly locals - Lions Club members in Portumna, Rotarians in Athlone, Ballinamore town councillor and a supporter from Coleraine will film video footage at his send-off and at the midpoint of his run.

Pádraig may be the first person ever to run the length of Ireland unaccompanied.
