To celebrate the summer holidays Strokestown Park, Strokestown, Co. Roscommon has teamed up with the Leitrim Observer to offer readers the chance to win a Family Day pass with lunch at the magnificent estate.
The winner will enjoy free family admission to the estate (based on two adults and two children) and a wholesome homemade lunch at the Strokestown Park Restaurant. The Park offers families the opportunity to experience a taste of Georgian Ireland with a guided tour of the Strokestown Park House; an 18th Century mansion which retains all of its original furnishings.
You can also get back to nature with the Woodland Walk or by taking a stroll through the Pleasure Garden and Fruit & Vegetable gardens. Guests can also discover more about the history of Ireland at the National Famine Museum which is also located in the estate.
Strokestown Park is also delighted to announce details of its Woodland Walk Roscommon Schools Sculpture competition as it calls on visitors to vote for their favourite entry. The overall winner will be announced in September with a 1st place cash prize of €3,500 up for grabs!
