Attempted break-in with hammer and axe

Gardai in Carrick-on-Shannon are seeking the assistance of the public in relation to an attempted break-in at a supermarket in Mohill on Friday last, July 20.

Gardai who were on patrol in the area disturbed a group who were wearing balaclavas and were armed with a hammer, a metal bar and an axe. The perpetrators fled in the direction of Longford.

The assistance of the public is also sought in relation to a red Toyota Corrina that was taken from the Gorvagh area of Mohill on the same day, July 20.

Also, a piece of electrical equipment was stolen from a shop in Carrick-on-Shannon on Sunday last, July 22.
