Crimestoppers has today launched an appeal for information in relation to the disappearance of Aughavas resident, Patrick Heeran, in October 2011.
Pat (48) was last seen in Mohill, Co Leitrim at 4.20pm on 3rd October 2011.
Nearly 19 months later, his disappearance continues to baffle gardai.
Pat is described as being 5’9” in height and of stocky build with fair hair. When last seen he was wearing brown shoes, blue jeans and a brown jacket.
An appeal on television last year and numerous searches by gardai, sub aqua teams and hundreds of volunteers, family and friends throughout the north Longford and South Leitrim area, have failed to uncover any trace of Pat.
His heartbroken family and friends have not had any contact with him since he was last seen and describe this behaviour to be extremely out of character.
Launching the appeal, Inspector James Delaney said: “We have serious concerns for Patrick’s wellbeing and safety. If you are a friend or acquaintance of Patrick and have any information that could help locate him please call Crimestoppers on 1800 25 00 25”.
Anyone with information can contact Crimestoppers on 1800 25 00 25. Calls to Crimestoppers are dealt with in the strictest of confidence. Callers do not need to leave their name or address. You may receive a reward for information which significantly helps Gardaí in their investigation
