Foróige resumes in Ballinamore

18 young girls and boys took part in an educational, fun packed year which included a “Graffiti Art Project” that is still on display in the windows beside Supervalu.

Maureen Martin, Claire McGirl, Eimear Carron, Áine Martin and Cíara O’Dowd trained as Foróige Leaders and restarted the Ballinamore group. Sinead McCauley, Kathleen Kearns and Linda Halstead have since come on board. Leitrim VEC provided the group a room for a meeting every Monday.

The group form a committee and organise events, discos and take part in Awareness programmes. The recent High Street Reunion raied €100 for the local group. Foróige will be recommencing this month for girls and boys aged 13 -18.
