Much-loved Leitrim man to be remembered in Gala show

Manorhamilton news: Glenfarne Village native Gerry Finneran will be remembered in a show at the Ballroom of Romance on Friday night

A Glenfarne Gala Festival Community variety show, which will be dedicated to the memory of local man Gerry Finneran's massive contribution to Irish music and to his home area, will take place in the Ballroom of Romance on Friday night, August 2 at 8pm.

During the variety show there will be an exclusive performance of a specially arranged tune composed in memory of Gerry by the three of Ireland's most accomplished and renowned musicians – the Dermot Mullane Trio whose members are Dermot Mullane, Eugene Broderick and Eugene Quinn.

The variety show will also be a showcase of local talent and acts, and will include performances by Glenfarne CCE, adult and children's choirs, dancing and singing, as well as lots more items of great entertainment.

Glenfarne Village native Gerry Finneran passed on his eternal reward on Sunday, May 14, 2003.
