Margaret Wynne (née McGowan) passed away on Tuesday
Tributes have poured in following the sad death of Margaret Wynne (née McGowan), late of 8 Rockwell Park, Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim.
Margaret passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. She is predeceased by her parents James and Agnes McGowan, and her brothers Peter and Jimmy.
Margaret will be sadly missed by her husband Paul, her sons Alan, Ricki and Brian, daughters-in-law Mags, Triona and Sara, grandchildren Adam, Megan, Shea, Billie and Mio, her brothers Brendan, Frank (Mary) and Patrick, her sisters Mary (Padraic), Ann, Agnes and Patricia (Gerry), nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.
Heartfelt condolences have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Margaret, with one mourner writing,
"Sincere sympathy to Paul and all the Wynne family on the sad passing of Margaret. She was a very kind obliging and hard working woman. May her gentle soul rest in peace."
Another wrote,
"Our heartfelt sympathy to Paul, Alan, Rickie and Brian, Wynne and McGovern all their extended families. Margaret always had great courage, spirit, love for her faith and family. Have and will miss seeing her out for her walk with her adored dogs. Margaret, rest in peace in the arms of our loving God."
While another wrote,
"Sympathies to the Wynne Family on the sad passing of your beloved Margaret. A friendly familiar figure within the community, flanked by her two lovely dogs as she walked around Drumshanbo. May she now rest in peace."
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing at Shivnan's Funeral Home, Ballyfarnon, today, Wednesday, from 5pm to 8pm.
Funeral Mass tomorrow, Thursday, at 11 am in St Patrick's Church, Drumshanbo followed by burial in Drumshanbo New Cemetery.
