Diversions will be in place for the next two weeks as emergency repairs are delivered to Curraghnabania Bridge.
Leitrim County Council has announced the temporary closure of a local road in the Curraghnabania area to facilitate essential emergency bridge rehabilitation works.
In accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 and Article 12(6) of the Roads Regulations 1994, the Council will close the L5338-0 road at Curraghnabania from Monday, 14th July 2025 to Friday, 1st August 2025, inclusive.
The closure is necessary to allow for urgent structural repairs to Curraghnabania Bridge, which has been deemed in need of immediate attention following recent inspections.
Traffic will be diverted via Curraghnabania, Dernahelty More, and Miskaun Glebe using local roads L-53341-0, L-5334-0, and L-5335-0. Appropriate signage will be in place for the duration of the closure, and road users are asked to follow all diversion routes and to exercise caution in the area.
Leitrim County Council thanks the public in advance for their patience and cooperation during these essential works.
Further updates will be available on the Council’s website and local media as necessary.
