After in excess of 500 man/woman hours and over 3,300 visitors the Drumshanbo Haunted House has come to an end for another year and An Tostal organising committee would like to thank most sincerely everyone who supported them and came to visit the house.
A spokesperson said, “The huge numbers that attended the Haunted House this year exceeded all our expectations and we are so grateful to all of you for making it the success is was.
“The An Tostal Festival Committee would like to especially thank Hubert McCormack for the use of his premises. Work started with preparing the house back in September and to all the lads/ladies that spent so much time and effort getting the house ready we are very appreciative.
“To our graphic designer, our photographer, all the ladies who helped with make up, to the residents of the Carrick road for all their patience and understanding, to all those who came along for our trial run, to the local press and media for coverage, to Leitrim County Council and all who sponsored us, to our stewards and helpers on the three nights and last but not least to each and every one of the 62 people who were the cast of the Haunted House 2015 we cannot thank you enough, we could not have done it without you!
“All the people involved voluntarily gave their time to make the Haunted House the huge success it was. Although Drumshanbo may be a small town the future is looking very bright when you see community spirit to that extent. The fun and the companionship throughout was just fantastic.
“Lastly, to everyone in Drumshanbo you can rest assured that all the spooks, ghosts, gremlins, witches, zombies and creatures that have no titles are all well and truly back in their boxes and won’t be reappearing around the town until Halloween 2016! We hope you all enjoyed the scares.”
