Gardaí have recovered a substantial amount of cash following searches of properties in Co Leitrim and Dublin as part of their investigations targeting organised crime.
On Tuesday 14th October 2025, as a result of ongoing investigations targeting organised crime activity under Operation Tara, personnel from the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau intercepted two vehicles shortly before 8pm in North Dublin.
They also conducted searches of four residential premises in North Dublin and Co. Leitrim.
During the course of this operation €383,000 in cash was recovered along with a money counter and a number of mobile phones.
Two men and two women, all aged in their 30s, were arrested under Section 72 of the Criminal Justice Act 2006 and are currently detained, under Section 50 of Criminal Justice Act 2007, at Garda Stations in Dublin.
